Between 2022 and 2023, I worked with horticultural trainees with additional needs at the People in Action Community Garden in Bedworth as part of Warwickshire County Council's Public Health project aiming to increase wellbeing via nature connectedness and to increase access to existing local green spaces via art engagement.
My program included collaborating with local Gurdwaras and yoga teacher Ritu Patel for bilingual (Farsi and English) outdoor movement sessions; banner making for Nuneaton Pride, canal walks, cyanotype and 35mm film workshops, precarious and season-changing sculptures amongst food crops; scarecrow making, and learning through being with the outside.
